Moskstraumen, Lofoten, Norway

Moskstraumen is a strong tidal current between the south end of Moskenesøy (Lofotodden) and the island of Mosken.
In old sea maps it is shown with horrifying illustrations and warnings. It is also mentionned in the works of Edgar Allan Poe and Jules Verne.
