Iapetus in mythology

Iapetus (greek Iapetos), one of the six Titans of the greek mythology, is the son of Uranus and Gaia. Iapetus’ wife is Clymene; they have four children: Menoetius, Atlas, Prometheus and Epimetheus. Though the last three ones, Iapetus is an ancestor of the human race. Sometimes Iapetus is also said to be the spouse of Asia or Asopis.
